Contribution

As a product design lead, I successfully led the design of a B2C-focused fintech/health app into a user-friendly platform by:

  • Managed the design domain from native app (Android, iOS) to responsive web.
  • Led communication with developers based on component guide documentation.
  • Creating a new design system that improved usability.

1. Project Background

The NFT market has been rapidly expanding, but mainstream adoption remains limited due to high entry barriers. For general users, technical terminology such as Decentralization and Smart contracts is difficult to understand. On top of that, the NFT minting process is often complex and confusing, with unfriendly user experiences. As a result, the widespread adoption of NFTs has been significantly delayed.

2. Desk Research

20s and 30s users are highly accustomed to taking and sharing photos, and they naturally engage with photo-verification-based missions. However, the concepts of NFTs and blockchain still feel unfamiliar and complicated to many users. Therefore, instead of technical jargon, it is more effective to convey the intuitive experience of “my photo is securely recorded and remains as my ownership.”

3. User Needs / Design goal

Many reward apps rely on advertisements or repetitive behaviors to accumulate points, which lowers user motivation and fails to sustain long-term engagement. In contrast, people in their 20s and 30s are highly accustomed to taking and sharing photos. NFTCAM is designed to provide an intuitive and enjoyable reward experience based on photo verification, making the process more engaging and straightforward.

Pinpoint 01

Hard to feel immediate value because a large number of points is required before rewards.

Solution 01

Solution 01 icon

Provide instant rewards even with small point amounts (e.g., low-value gift cards).

Pinpoint 02

Monotonous participation methods (step counter, ads).

Solution 02

Solution 02 icon

Offer diverse missions such as location-based tasks, challenges, and shopping verification.

Pinpoint 03

Non-intuitive navigation and blockchain-heavy terms create high cognitive load and reduce confidence.

Solution 03

Solution 03 icon

Simplify the verify-and-earn UX; present NFTs in an experience-focused way rather than technical terms.

Pinpoint 04

Users disengage after short-term use because interactions feel repetitive.

Solution 04

Enhancing immediate rewards to maximize short-term engagement motivation.

Service Goal

Securely record photo verification as NFTs and boost motivation with instant rewards.

4. IA & Wireframe

Designed the IA to create an intuitive and efficient flow that guides users seamlessly from photo verification to point accumulation and reward redemption.

5. Why NFTCAM?

Simplicity

Minimize steps, make minting as easy as a camera click.

Familiarity

Use patterns users already know (camera UI, reward systems).

Engagement

Add gamification and social feedback loops to keep users active.

6. Design System

The foundation of the Snapcash Design System ensures consistency across layout, spacing, and radius. These guidelines help maintain a unified look and feel throughout the product.

7. Main UI

The main UI was designed to allow users to easily view their reward status and available missions at a glance, check detailed conditions, and take immediate action. By incorporating map-based navigation and a camera verification screen, the location and photo-based participation process was simplified. Compared to conventional reward apps, the 3-step flow — Select Mission → Verify → Earn Reward — enhances intuitiveness and efficiency.

NFT-related functionalities were limited to the admin interface, whereas the user app expressed it simply as “your photos are securely recorded” — reducing the sense of technical complexity and making the experience more approachable.
